We’re excited to introduce a major upgrade to The Flybook’s manual booking experience, built specifically for reservations taken over the phone or at the front desk. This redesigned back office booking flow makes it faster and easier for your team to create reservations in just a few guided steps. It eliminates unnecessary clicks, removes confusing tabs, and adapts to your operation’s real-world needs. Whether you’re onboarding seasonal staff, handling walk-up guests, or just looking to simplify your day-to-day, this update delivers a smoother, more intuitive process for everyone on your team.

Why We Redesigned the Flow 

This redesign was born from a simple insight: if we’re going to build an easy-to-use quoting tool, we first need to make our booking flow intuitive and standardized. We’ve consistently heard from those looking for a new solution that the complexity and flexibility of the previous experience meant that creating a reservation felt like solving a puzzle, and that’s not the experience we want for you or your team. 

With this release, we’ve removed unnecessary friction, eliminated redundant tabs, and reimagined the flow with speed and ease in mind.

 

 

What’s New?

Here’s what you can expect from the updated experience:

  • Wizard-Style Navigation: A guided, step-by-step flow that helps reservationists move from availability to payment without backtracking or second-guessing.

  • Unified Offerings View: No more toggling between “Tickets,” “Rentals,” or “Activities.” Offerings are now consolidated into a single booking interface, so your team doesn’t need to think in Flybook’s pillars - they can just book.

  • Fewer Clicks, Faster Bookings: We’ve dramatically reduced the number of clicks needed to complete a reservation. The most common paths now require fewer steps, and unnecessary fields/tools stay hidden until they’re needed.

  • Templatized Booking Flows: We know that not every business has just one booking option, which is why multiple templates can be created for different booking scenarios. Create the booking templates that your team needs to succeed!

  • Mobile-Optimized Experience: Taking bookings on the go? The redesigned interface performs just as well on tablets and mobile devices - ideal for walk-up or field-based bookings.

  • Smarter Defaults & Account-Level Configuration: Optionally configure your reservation workflow by account. Always start with guest details? Prefer a call-in view vs. a walk-up view? Set it up once and make the flow match your real-world needs.
