For the last 18 months, we have been updating the underlying code that defines Flybook. Without getting too technical, the ultimate benefit is that we will be able to make updates more quickly and often, with fewer bugs. We have significantly beefed up the underlying tools that build and power your reservation system. Without our regular upkeep on the latest and greatest tools, your system will start to degrade.
This is not a “new system” - It’s the same Flybook! But, with a more modern underlying infrastructure. In the process of going through every line of code, we’ve taken opportunities to also make key improvements many Flybook users have been asking for.
Watch our release notes to view each change specifically. We also created the following video tutorials for a few we think you'll love, as well as a list of highlights you don't want to miss.
The activity summary from within a calendar now has tabs. As we continue to add more and more features, we are maintaining the functionality of quick views and editing, but providing tabs with much more detail. You can add number of people, see balances due and waivers signed in a quick snapshot. See how easy it is to add a new reservation in the video tutorial below.
The way in which waivers are assigned in a reservation is receiving a face lift. We hope that a new "bulk waiver manager" tool will be very helpful for your large groups. And, we are excited to continue to evolve the feature with your input. Watch the video tutorial here:
There is now a bulk editor for your pre-scheduled or existing activities on the calendar. If you decide you want to up the capacity for an activity for the entire month of august - you can select them all and update the capacity. You can also bulk delete, or change the start times or names.
There is a new icon in the staff calendar when you are in the 10 day or fewer view. It is a more detail icon and appears next to each staff members name. When clicking on that icon, you can bulk assign activities to that single staff member in a single snapshot.
