Faces of Flybook: Jake Cozart

We asked our team members a little Q&A so that you could learn more about the faces of the Flybook! Get to know Jake Cozart, one of our engineers behind the Flybook machine, below.

What is your job at The Flybook?

Software Engineer. I design and improve on the Flybook Platform (with a focus on security.)

Are you local to Bend?

I live in Redmond but grew up in Bend. So far internationally, I have traveled to a few places in Canada but as soon as the world opens up again I would like to travel to a number of different countries in Europe!

What are some of your favorite things to do?

I am usually biking, hiking, kayaking, camping, or doing crossfit in my spare time!

How would your family or friends describe you in 3 words?

Determined, Smart, Kind

What led you to the Flybook?

A mentor convinced me to join him at the Flybook a few years ago and, although he is no longer on the team, I stayed!

What are you currently reading or watching?

I'm currently reading Storm and Fury.

What is your favorite feature of the Flybook product?

My favorite feature is probably either the Kiosk Check-In (not a widely known feature) or Wristbands!

If you could eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Definitely something with chicken.

If you could time travel (to the past or future) what time would you visit?

I would time travel to the future to see all the new tech created.

What do you like most about your job?

I get to make a product that makes other peoples lives easier.

Any other passions or fun facts to share?

I have a border collie named Rusty who means the world to me!
